Psalm 91, a prayer of protection and favor.
As I remain in the secret place of the Most High, I lodge in the shadow of the Almighty.
I say of Yahweh, “My refuge and my fortress.” Elohim, in Him I trust.
It is He who delivers me from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence.
He covers me with His pinion (feathers) and under His wings I seek refuge.
His truth is my shield; His faithfulness my buckler.
I am not afraid of the terror by night nor of the arrow that flies by day.
I am not afraid of the pestilence that walks in darkness nor of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not approach me.
I will only look with my eyes and see the reward of the wicked, for I have made Yahweh my refuge, Elyown, the Most High, my dwelling place.
No evil will befall me, nor any plague will come near my dwelling for He gives His angels charge over me to keep watch and preserve me in all my ways and journeys.
They lift me up and carry me, so I do not strike my foot with a stone.
I will march upon the lion and the venomous serpent. I will trample upon the young lion and the dragon.
“Because he (she) has set his (her) love on me and delights in me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue and deliver him (her).”
“I will set him (her) inaccessibly high because he (she) knows My name.”
“He (She) calls upon Me and I answer him (her). I am with him (her) in times of trouble and distress.”
“I draw him (her) out and honor, glorify, and boast about him (her).
“With long life I satisfy him (her) and show him (her) My Yeshuah, My Salvation.”
