Praying Psalm 46
TWoTW Daily Prayer Psalm 46
Elohim, you are my refuge and my hope, I trust you. You are my strength, boldness, and help when times of much trouble and distress come upon me. Because you are with me, you are around me, I fear nothing.
Even though the earth beneath me may move and the mountains around me may shake and fall into the heart of the sea causing the foaming waters to rise, rage and boil with the quaking of the mountains.
I praise Him and lift up His holy name!
I find rest along the river whose streams brighten and bring joy to the city of God, the sacred dwelling place of Elyown, the Most High. Elohim is with me, in my heart. I will not be shaken because he surrounds me and protects me, He turns His face toward me every morning.
People and nations may be moved, they may murmur or rage. Their kingdoms may shake and fall but He speaks and causes the earth and all it’s people to faint.
Yahweh’s armies surround me. Elohim of Jacob is my refuge.
I praise Him and glorify His name!
As I walk through this life I see the work of Yahweh, even that that He has laid to waste and made desolate in the earth, is astonishing.
He ceases wars to the ends of the earth and breaks the archer’s bow. He cuts the spear to pieces, and He sets the chariots on fire.”
“Relax!”, says the Lord, “acknowledge that I, Elohim, am lifted up and exalted in the earth.”
Yahweh’s armies are with me and secure me inaccessibly high in the stronghold of Elohim, the God of Jacob.
